Emmetts Garden sits on one of the highest points in Kent, on the ridge above the village of Ide Hill in the Weald.
The garden covers about six acres and was shaped in the late nineteenth century by Frederic Lubbock, who planted an informal collection of rare trees and shrubs from around the world.
It is particularly known for its rose garden and for the sweeping views across the Weald on clear days.
The National Trust has cared for it since 1964, when it was bequeathed by Charles Boise.
