About this place
Glamis Castle in Angus, Scotland, has been the seat of the Earls of Strathmore and Kinghorne since 1372.
Its pink sandstone towers are a striking feature of the Scottish landscape and among the most recognisable in the country.
Princess Margaret was born here in 1930, giving the castle a rare and direct connection to the modern royal family.
